JAKUB BORGIEL

BARITONE

Jakub Borgiel (born 1999) - 1st year master's student at the Karol Szymanowski Music Academy in Katowice, graduated from the Katowice Music High School for classical guitar in 2018.

At the academy in Katowice he sang the role of Eneas in Henry Purcell's “Dido and Eneas” and at the Silesian Opera in Katowice the role of Bartłomiej in Stanisław Moniuszko's “Verbum Nobile”, with the Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra he was in a concert performance performed by Karol Szymanowski's "Hagith" in the role of high priest.

Competitions: 3rd prize at the nationwide singing competition “Krystyna Jamroz” (Kielce, 2020), 3rd prize at the VII. Intercollegiate Chamber Competition for instrumental and vocal duets (Warsaw, 2021)

2nd prize at the XXII. Imrich Godin International Singing Competition
